The new Pure Blue Japan Kasuri tee is one of the most stunning indigo pieces we've ever laid eyes on. Inspired by one of Japan's oldest dyeing techniques, Kasuri (絣染め), this garment blends rope dyeing with unique methods to create a fabric where the yarn has randomly varying shades of dark and light. The result is a distinctive Tenjiku material that exudes a subtle Japanese aesthetic and a refreshing feel. Each piece carries a unique touch due to the varying color tones, making every T-shirt one-of-a-kind. The soft, breathable fabric ensures comfort, while the indigo hues provide a versatile, stylish look that pairs effortlessly with any outfit. Additionally, the signature Pure Blue Japan "shoai" embroidery, depicting the Indigofera leaf, further exemplifies the brand's commitment to excellence.

All PBJ tees run smaller in size compared to your regular American size. Typically, if you wear a size M in American t-shirts, you will need to select a size 4 (L) in this. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.

Pure Blue Japan is the dream of Kenichi Iwaya. Passionate about denim, he grew up in Okayama and acquired experience working in different mills around the region, until in 1997 he decided to create his own brand. Ever since, Iwaya-San has been obsessed with producing incredible fabrics with unique, slubby textures and a distinct character. This is why he only works with shuttle looms from Ibara, Okayama, using only the best cottons from the United States and India. Since its emergence until today, Pure Blue Japan has consolidated its position as one of the touchstone labels in Japanese Denim, and its excellent work has established it as one of the masters of indigo dye.
